Baby boy names I almost chose

I like baby names that are phonetically straight forward, but still somewhat unique. My ideal placement on the popularity charts is somewhere in the 200-400s - it’s a name you’ve heard before, but hopefully there’s not 5 of them in the same classroom.

My husband and I have a tradition of printing out on little slips of paper all the names we like, putting them in a fish bowl, and sitting down together reading out names one-by-one. Something about having the names written down and being able to pair different names together makes the whole experience feel so intentional. I definitely recommend this practice for anyone looking to make choosing your child’s name more memorable!

There were lots of unisex/boy names we considered, and now I can share the almost names we didn’t choose.

Boy names I love, but didn’t choose:

Crue
Benson (Ben, Benny)
Coen
Emmet
Austen
Brady
Mills
Penn
Presley/Preston
Parker

As much as I love these names, I’m even more in love with the name we landed on for our Baby Boy. For his privacy, I’ve chosen to keep his image and his name offline. You’ll have to take my word for it - it truly is the perfect fit for him! I hope you find the perfect fit for your baby too.

With love,
